Call for Speakers

Content is at the heart of WordCamps: there are those who attend for the first time and want to get closer to WordPress, and those who are long-time users and want to discover all its secrets.

WordCamps are events open to everyone: designers, bloggers, developers, marketers, copywriters, enthusiasts and curious.

WordCamps are inclusive and accessible events. We are therefore happy to host speakers of all ages, backgrounds and experience levels.

You don’t have to be a professional speaker, just be knowledgeable in the topic you’ll be speaking about, and want to share what you know – that’s just the spirit of sharing that sustains WordPress and its community.

If this is your first experience as a speaker, we can help you with a mentoring service to be comfortable during the presentation, and if you have any doubts contact us and we can answer all your questions!

Have you used WordPress for a personal project? Want to share your solutions to an unusual problem, or tell us how your passion for WordPress started?

Great! Your experiences could inspire the WordCamp audience and grow our entire wonderful community.

The Call for Speaker closes at 11:59 pm on June 15, 2025.

Please note that we are following the Italian time zone, CEST / UTC+2.

You can choose from these two formats to offer your presentation:

Long talk

Regular 30-minute session
To be distributed at the speaker’s discretion between talks and questions

Lightning talk

Short 10-minute session

WordCamp Verona will take place in Verona on Saturday, October 11, 2025.

You can propose a talk on your favorite topic, but your presentation should be related to one of the areas of the WordPress world.

Here are some ideas that can help you shaping your talk:

  • Writing contents with WordPress
  • Gutenberg and FSE (Full Site Editor)
  • WordPress + Social media
  • WordPress and e-commerce
  • Developing themes and plugins
  • PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript ecc…
  • GitHub
  • WP-CLI
  • Contributing to WordPress
  • Tools for developers
  • Accessibility
  • Optimizing speed for WordPress websites
  • Security
  • Project Management
  • Content marketing
  • SEO
  • Open source
  • Diversity and inclusion
  • Business and WordPress (writing estimates, customer management, supplier management, ecc…)
  • Web Design / Theme Design / UI / UX
  • REST API
  • Thematic portals
  • Reservation systems
  • Multilingual sites
  • Ad management

Fill out the application with your full name (first and last name).
Try to choose a clear title; make sure that those attending can understand what you will be talking about.
Your presentation is not a means to promote your product or service. If your session explains how you used WordPress to build something of collective interest and you want to present a case-study that’s fine, but sales messages (including slides with photos of books or courses and links to purchase or discount coupons) are not allowed.
If you are accepted as a speaker, the text you enter in the Bio, Talk Title, and Talk Description fields will be used on the site: please fill in everything carefully. We reserve the right to edit them for consistency with the rest of the text.
Remember the capital P of WordPress and respect the WordPress copyright.
If you would like to apply with multiple proposals, please fill out the form for each individual talk.
We will ask you to have your talk slides by September 15, 2025 to verify that the rules regarding copyright, GPL license and code of conduct are respected. You will find a number of links in the application form.
Please accept these rules only if you have actually read them.
No payment or refund is due to the speakers; WordCamps are based on voluntary contributions from everyone involved.

Is this your first time being a speaker at a WordPress event?
